Transportation
The goal of the Office of Transportation is to provide safe, effective and efficient transportation to and from school. The Northern Bedford County School District provides busing for students in Grades PK-12 every school day. Bus assignments and bus stops are determined by August of each school year, and parent/guardians verify their student's information via their Focus Parent Portal access. If you have any concerns about your child's bus stop or bus assignment, please contact the transportation office.
School rules apply at the bus stop and during the bus ride. Parents and guardians are encouraged to reinforce appropriate bus behavior with their child. Concerns about bus or bus stop behavior should be addressed with your child's school principal.
Permanent bus transfer requests may be submitted online through the link on the right, or by contacting the transportation office.

2026-2027 New Late Bus Procedures
Please see the information below carefully so you can begin to plan for the upcoming school year as we are transitioning our late bus to group stops only.
New Stops: Late buses will now drop students off at 3 centralized group locations.
- Woodbury Church of the Brethren (back parking lot) – drop off time 6:07PM
- Community Grace Brethren Church (back parking lot – drop off time 6:30PM (This church is located near the old Brite Spot, along Rt. 26.)
- Hopewell Senior Center – drop off time 6:45PM (The senior center is located in Hopewell, across from the Post Office.)
Be on time: An adult must be at the stop to meet your student. To keep the bus on schedule, please make sure you arrive on time. If a parent/guarding is not present, students will be kept safely on board and will need picked up at the Leidy Transportation bus shed at approximately 7:00PM. Please know that we realize some of our older students may have parent permission to walk home from the senior center. If this is the case, an adult does not need to be waiting at the bus stop.
